Family of Cats - Hunters

In general, cats are solitary animals that roam and hunt alone. Only at mating time they will align. Of course, the children always follow their parents until the time they were able to hunt alone. In case of this solitary life, the lion is an exception. Although sometimes solitary, lions live in groups more frequently seen in groups of 20 to 30 individuals. This group is called a pride.

Cats usually restrict its movement around the area occupied by its prey and have a hiding place when not hunting. The size of these hunt area depends on the type of cat. Larger family of cats, of course, requires areas that can accommodate large hoofed animals that became its main prey. For example, a group of lions hunting areas may be up to area of 20 to 30 km. Cats will expand its territory or move to another place when prey becomes rare. Cats in general are good at climbing, although most of the big cats prefer to live in the ground.

Cats prey on any animal that can be captured and pulled quickly. Although arguably the nation's only cat only eats meat, but the lions and leopards were completing their menu with ingredients derived from plants, especially fruits that fall.
